General description 

FE series brake motors are the result of the coupling of an asynchronous

three-phase motor and a lack of current spring electromagnetic ac brake.

Due to their reliability and operation safety, as well as their quick braking

time (connection and disconnection time = 5÷80msec) they are suitable

for a great variety of applications, such as:

- Braking of loads or torques acting on the driving motor shaft

- Braking of rotary masses in order to avoid any down-time

- Braking to increase the setting-up precision

- Braking of machine parts in case of danger, in compliance with accident

prevention rules.

FE motors are available in UR-CSA execution for the Canadian and the

US markets.

Data reported in the tables on the following pages are valid under the

following conditions:

- Grid or Inverter supply

- Continuous duty S1

- Max ambient temperature 40°C

- Altitude 1.000masl

- Class F Insulation

- Degree of protection IP 55

- Type of ventilation IC 411
